I would give this company a negative if possible. I ordered food from a local market to be delivered to my some for his birthday. The order was confirmed and I was told it would be delivered between 11-12 on 12/26/20. I received an email the delivery was delayed but in transit. 40 minutes prior to the store closing they called me and said the order was not picked up. It had been sitting in there cooler all day. The told me to call which I did first rep told me they escalated and changed the order time but assured me it would be picked up and delivered today. The store called me prior to closing and said still no delivery driver even though I was promised delivery. I one again called Mercato second rep cared less was rude and clearly did not care about the consumer. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she said they had all gone home for the day. Went on chat similar experience only the rep was at least trying. So I am told it is escalating to management which could take 24-48 hours oh and she credited my account $25. Which I am not sure why since they can’t seem to figure out how to deliver the order anyway. Completely ruined my Sons Birthday and blamed it on challenging times. If you can’t figure out how to do your job maybe you should not be in business. So unless you want your food sitting in a bag at a store all day waiting for Mercato probably best to figure out another company who is reliable and actually cares about their customers

MERCATO is a scam! I created a new account and placed an order. After several minutes I did not receive a confirmation email so I checked my Mercato account. NO ORDER ON MY ACCOUNT. Next step, I figure the order didn’t go through so wanted to make sure I wasn’t charged.
I WAS CHARGED MULTIPLE TIMES!
Mercato keeps asking me to send my order confirmation number or a snap shot of my order. I’ve already emailed pics of my account with charges from Mercato.
I have been calling and emailing Mercato and each person is as clueless as the next. I will never support this business again.

Bait and switch tactics.
Untrustworthy source of shopping.

This was easy to use for a long distance gift. Delivered on time.

This was easy to use when I ordered a food gift for someone across the country. They delivered within the one hour window that they promised. I will use them again.

Absolutely love using Mercato

Absolutely love using Mercato when buying from Three Guys from Brooklyn i have yet to come across an issue that they couldn’t resolve. Great customer service

Great Gourmet Food/Great Delivery Service

Mercato provides an interesting choice of gourmet speciality shops that I normally would not have access to. (Thank you Amy's Bread for spectacular, fresh, high quality baked goods!) Scheduling quick deliveries was easy and the deliveries came on time, just as promised. I highly recommend Mercato for gourmet food deliveries.

Thankful mama

I have a toddler that still likes to put everything in her mouth, not good considering how things are! It was such a stress free way to shop! The store called me to ask about some brand substitutions and to double check if I wanted 1 banana or a bunch of bananas. It was ready for pick up when I got to the store, they brought it right to my van.

Support Small Businesses with Mercato

I've used Mercato a couple of times and it continues to be a much better experience than with other big box retail shopping/delivery services. Mercato has a great selection of local shops with fresh food options. I've been able to add specific notes on items in my list and the shopper has always paid attention to get me exactly what I was looking for. Especially during this challenging and uncertain time for small businesses I feel really good about supporting my community and still getting exactly what I need to keep sane at home.
